Application Process

Overview

As a public, charter school, Prestige Academy is free of charge to all families. We will begin accepting applications in October 2007 for the 5th grade 2008-2009 school year. The school is open to students from all Delaware school districts. Any family who meets the following criteria is eligible to apply:

• Students who have a specific interest in the school's focus on educating boys.
• The student is a resident of Delaware.
• Prior to August 2008, the student will have successfully completed the 4th grade.

Seats for the 2008-09 school year are limited (108), and families should ensure that applications are submitted as soon as possible.

As part of the application process, Prestige Academy will request that parents/guardians of new students complete a school application for enrollment. In addition, Prestige Academy requests that parents/guardians participate in at least one information session with the Executive Director or his designee to discuss the mission, vision, school design and philosophy, and expectations of students, parents, and staff. This session will allow parents to make an informed choice for their child regarding attendance at the school. After the parent has decided that Prestige Academy is a good fit for their child, they will attend additional information sessions as part of the enrollment process to further clarify and explain the school's expectations, policies and procedures.
